（１）アイスブレイク：自己紹介と課題抽出
　それぞれ１〜２分で自己紹介を行う
　その中で悩みや問題点や課題を話す。
　メンバーで共有、あるいは理解しあう。
　出された問題点や課題について、共通する事項を話し合う。
　キーワードの抽出

（２）論点の整理
　 最近の科学では、私たちの生命観や倫理観を変えるような成果が続々と出され、巨大科学と個人が直接向き合うような現実があります。しかし、一方で科学は高度化、細分化し、その実体が見えにくくわかりにくいものとなり、専門家と市民の溝は深くなっています。専門化細分化した分野を越境し、溝を埋め回路を作るために、サイエンスコミュニケーションの重要性が盛んに言われていますが、その試みは始まったばかりです。
　 同時に、科学のフィールドで起きていることを伝える科学ジャーナリズムの重要性も盛んに言われます。両者は、社会の中の立場と機能が異なるにもかかわらず、しばしばサイエンスコミュニケーションの議論は、科学ジャーナリズムと混同されています。伝える／コミュニケートするという営為において相似していることに依ると思われますが、サイエンスコミュニケーションは科学の縦糸に横糸を通す学際的な横断知であり、科学ジャーナリズムは社会のセンサーとして専門化集団を相対化する批評の知であると筆者は考えています。
　 両者の定義と切り分けが明確でないまま、科学者は科学を正確に伝えることをジャーナリストに求め、ジャーナリストは、物語性や社会心理、批評精神の下で、科学をメタファとして社会を論じています。「科学ジャーナリズム」をめぐる同床異夢と言えないでしょうか。
　 今、研究所や科学館ではサイエンスコミュニケーションというキーワードの下で、科学コミュニケーターの養成が急務と言われていますが、養成プログラムもシステムも充分とは言えない状況です。現場での取り組みも体系的になっておらず、それぞれが試行錯誤で続けている状態のように思えます。
　 一方、科学ジャーナリストはジャーナリズムの組織、あるいは集団に所属したからといってプロフェッショナルではないのが実情です。何年もの長い勉強を続けて、次第にプロフェッショナルになっていくのです。
　 両者の実情と機能の相違を認識したうえで、あらためて市民と科学技術を結ぶ回路をどう作ってゆくのかを、議論したいと思います。
　 サイエンスコミュニケーションが必要とされる分野で行われている実践を、有機的に結びつけるための情報戦略として、ジャーナリズムの視点を取り入れることを提案してみたいと思います。つまり、科学の事象をジャーナルな視点で検証してみることで、サイエンスコミュニケーションを深化させる新たな手法が見つかるのではないでしょうか。
　 繰り返しますが、サイエンスコミュニケーションと科学ジャーナリズムは異なる機能をもっていますが、広くコミュニケーションの問題として把握し、科学を伝える手法のひとつとして、それぞれがジャーナリスト的想像力を合わせ持つことができれば、「ジャーナリズムはセンセーショナリズムに陥り、科学を正確に伝えていない」「いやジャーナリストは科学者の広報ではない」といった水掛け論に終始することなく、主役である市民社会に寄与することができるのではないでしょうか。
　 では、どう取り組むのか、ということになります。まず、ジャーナリストの視点とはなにかを整理し、その応用を考えてみたいと思います。内側に視点を取り込むことで、相違点が理解できます。議論の中から建設的で斬新な手法が生まれ、サイエンスコミュニケーションを深める一助となるものを見つけてみたいと思います。
