～科学コミュニケーションにおけるデジタル技術の可能性～ |

- 初日
各自の自己紹介と、今持っている課題・問題・期待について意見を交換する。
個人個人の「デジタル技術」についてのイメージや考えを意見交換することにより、自分以外の人がデジタル技術について、どのような期待を持っているのか、またその期待（ニーズ）を実現するために、現在、何が問題となっているのかについて、共通認識を持つ。
- 二日目
前日のディスカッションから得た、「デジタル技術」に対する期待と、問題から、今「デジタル技術」には何が求められ、何が必要なのかについて考える。
そして「デジタル技術」が、今後、生涯学習施設ではどのような役割を担っていくのか、未来の将来性についても考えて行く。
議論
「デジタル技術」とは
ハード 映像表示、情報通信、計算機、その他
ソフト ＣＧ、シミュレーション、動画処理、情報検索・表示
ホームページ等ネットワーク、その他
目的 各種インフォメーション（広報）、情報表示・解説（展示関係）
生涯学習施設での運営に関るシステム（運営）、その他
など広範囲にわたっている。
実際のデジタル技術に対する活用度は広く、例えば、生涯学習施設をとってみると、日々の運営・管理への活用「団体予約管理」「Ｗｅｂによる施設紹介や行事案内、活動紹介、ｅｔｃ」。
展示への活用においては、「映像」「検索データベース」など、様々な活用方法が存在する。
現在のデジタル技術を使って、私たちは今、「何がしたいのか」「何が必要か」「何が足りないのか」について、意見交換や議論を進め、生涯学習施設でのデジタル技術へのニーズと課題をまとめる。
ニーズ、課題、問題を今回のディスカッションで確認することにより、これらの目的の達成や問題解決の方法を今後も議論し、そこから、２１世紀の科学教育へのデジタル技術が担うものが見えてくるのではないかと考える。
